Seaweed extract powder features high activity and quick effect. However, its stable performance relies on reasonable dosage and application methods corresponding to crop growth stages. Blind application with excessive concentration is likely to cause leaf burn and abnormal overgrowth.
Seedling raising & transplant recovery stage: Foliar spraying and root watering are recommended, diluted 1000–1500 times with water, once every 7 to 10 days. Endogenous hormones in seaweed rapidly stimulate root germination, shorten seedling recovery period, rejuvenate weak and stunted seedlings, and reduce seedling death and root rot.
Flower bud differentiation & fruiting stage: Mainly foliar spraying with 1200 times dilution, applied respectively at budding stage and full bloom stage. Oligosaccharides induce flower bud differentiation, balance vegetative and reproductive growth, effectively prevent weak flower buds as well as flower and fruit drop, and achieve uniform fruit setting.
Fruit expansion & color turning stage: Applied by flushing or foliar spraying mixed with potassium dihydrogen phosphate at 1000 times dilution. Seaweed extract accelerates nutrient transportation to fruits, promotes fruit enlargement and smooth peel, reduces deformed fruits, accelerates sugar accumulation, improves fruit sweetness and taste, and extends shelf life.
Stress recovery period (after frost, drought, pesticide damage and waterlogging): Spray twice continuously with 800–1000 times dilution at an interval of 5 days. It repairs damaged cells rapidly, relieves leaf yellowing and wilting, restores crop growth quickly, and reduces yield loss caused by disasters.
Mixing taboos & storage notes: Seaweed extract cannot be mixed with strong alkaline pesticides, quicklime and other highly alkaline substances, which will inactivate active factors. Store in sealed, dark and dry environment to avoid moisture caking and activity attenuation. Mixed application with organic granular fertilizer can improve soil fertility in the long run; mixed with water-soluble fertilizer and macro-element fertilizer can boost efficiency rapidly, making it an excellent regulator for the whole planting cycle.
